Jami Bernard is a writer, film critic, editor, book doctor and media consultant based in New York. She has published seven books, a Lois Lane comic, thousands of newspaper and magazine articles (no, really!), and is a keynote speaker and frequent TV and radio guest.

Vanessa DeBello is a freelance writer and mother of two, based in New York. She is working on a memoir about how the fallout of her mother's wrongful incarceration in Willowbrook as a child has affected the next generation.

Amy Nathan is a freelance writer near Chicago. She shares her home with two teenagers and three big dogs. Amy is working on her first novel.

Danielle Wiener-Bronner is a junior at Barnard College, where she is studying economics and American history. Although being an intern at Barncat represents the pinnacle success, she cannot yet say what she wants to be when she grows up ... but, whatever it is, it will involve creative writing.

Francesca Giacco is a Barnard senior majoring in English, with a concentration in creative writing. After spending the last five months in Paris, she is excited to be back in New York, continuing her writing, and working at Barncat.

Kate Chapman, a native Texan, will be a senior at Barnard College in the fall. After graduation she plans to attend law school and get an M.P.A. She spends most of her free time with children, absorbing their magic. Kate loves to write and is working on her novel, Always Again.

Abby Wilpers is a Barnard psychology major from Boston. She likes to dance, surf and write; recently she discovered a passion for SEO (that’s right, search engine optimization!).
